The Gilson Middle School Volleyball team took 35 players to Delta this weekend for an action packed tournament.

JV Boys Basketball Played in North Pole JV Invitational
The JV Boys team traveled to the City of North Pole last weekend to participate in an eight team invitational Tournament. The Bucs played the host team North Pole on Thursday night and came away with a nice win in a 49 - 36 game.
Girls Varsity Basketball Road Tripping to the Ice Jam
The girls’ varsity basketball team continued their road tripping series with a bus ride to Fairbanks to participate in the West Valley “Ice Jam” Basketball Tournament. It was a round robin tournament with three different 4A schools.
Boys Varsity Compete at West Valley Ice Jam Basketball Tournament
Through the first nine games of the 2022-2023 season the Bucs have scored 627 points, while yielding a scant 262 points to their opponents, for an average victory of over 40 points per contest. Those astronomical numbers are a result of a good team playing inferior competition thus far. It was also unlikely that such a streak would last an entire season.

The JV lady buccaneers got to a cold experience to Galena this past weekend for a set of games.
New School Record Set at Girls Varsity Basketball Game
By bus, by plane, and by bus again, the Valdez High School Basketball Teams arrived at Galena High School.
14 VHS Nordic Skiers competed in the Palmer Invite
Keni, Soldotna, Homer, Grace Christian, Colony, Palmer, and Valdez attended the 2 day race.
Varsity Boys Basketball travel to Galana
Fresh off a quick 467-mile jaunt down the Kenai Peninsula and to Nikiski the weekend before, the road warrior Bucs hopped on over to neighboring Galena for a two-game set this past weekend.

The GMS Volleyball season kicked off with an exciting start this weekend as we hosted matches against the Glennallen Panthers.
Valdez Nordic Skiing @ Lynx Loppet
The Valdez High School Nordic Ski Team took 14 skiers up to Anchorage to participate in the Lynx Loppet Invitational at Kincaid Park for races starting on January 13th.

The Bucs played their first home game of the season, and inaugural games of the calendar year, as they hosted Aurora Conference foes Eielson Ravens on Friday and Saturday.
