VHS Theatre’s Production of CLUE

VHS Clue program

Courtesy of Ms. Gilson –  This past weekend, all of our theatre students’ hard work paid off. After an extremely stressful tech week, we put on the most successful series of performances I’ve ever had the pleasure of directing. I was blown away by the support from the community, parents, staff, and students, who showed up in droves. Many audience members came Friday, returned Saturday, and came again on Sunday—proof of how incredible our students were.

On Saturday, we celebrated Senior Night for our four seniors: Morgan Hamilton, Clara Julien, Taylor Titus, and Josephine Sheldon. Celebrating their last high school theatre performance had us all crying on stage.

I’m so proud of all my theatre students for creating magic. Those transitions were incredibly difficult, but my crew made them look seamless. And my actors absolutely killed it (pun intended)!

We want to thank every single community member, parent, student, and staff member who came to support us—and offer a special thanks to those who returned for multiple performances. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shannon Major, Scott McCumby, and Melissa McCumby for being rockstar parent volunteers—selling tickets, fixing set pieces, and sewing torn costumes respectively.

Clue has been one of the most mentally and physically demanding plays we’ve ever done. So many tears were shed this weekend—tears of exhaustion, pride, joy, and love. But it was all worth it for this show.

Huge congratulations to my actors, my tech booth, our live pianist, the backstage crew, and my colleagues for everything!

All my love to everyone involved, Ms. Gilson
