Seven community skiing enthusiasts joined twelve VHS ski team members to welcome the new year in true Nordic style at the Valdez Town series Race #2. This New Year’s Eve event was a 7K freestyle race staged on great snow and a bright, clear, winter morning just as it should be! Ben Swanson took the overall spot, Rylee Norris led the women’s division, and Ben Stolen was the top community finisher.
