Valdez resident Mike Franciosi nominated to be a judge

The Alaska Judicial Council met on August 15-19, 2017, to interview applicants for two positions on the Anchorage District Court. Following its meeting in Anchorage, the Alaska Judicial Council announced that John C. Cagle, Craig S. Condie, Michael J. Franciosi, Serena Green, Michael B. Logue, Zach Manzella, Kari McCrea, Andrew Peterson, and Peter R. Ramgren were nominated as the most qualified applicants to fill two Anchorage District Court judicial vacancies, which will be created by the forthcoming retirement of Judge Alex M. Swiderski and the appointment of Judge Jennifer Stuart Henderson to the Anchorage Superior Court.
The governor now has 45 days
