Throw Down in Snow Town
(10-24-16) – Buccaneer sports had an eventful weekend while hosting the annual VHS “Throw Down In Snow Town” Wrestling Tournament. This year the VHS wrestling team had six student athletes who made it past the first day of matches and advanced to the next day. Out of the Valdez athletes, sophomore Oceana Holt walked away with top honors. Holt had an impressive performance winning 1st place in the 152 pound girls division. VHS junior Orion Heller had an exceptional performance as well, winning 3rd place in the 132 pound weight division. The wrestlers now look to have a good
