Norris Wins First In State For 3a Cross Country Skiing

Courtesy of VHS Ski Coach Pete Toye – Senior Rylee Norris had outstanding performances this past weekend. In Thursday’s 5K classic race she finished 26th overall but 1st in 3A; in Friday’s 7.5 skate race she also finished 26th overall and 2nd in 3A. Norris’s combined times for both days placed her in 24th overall and were the fastest in 3A earning her the coveted title of 3A Skimeister. Saturday’s relays (two classic legs/ 2 skate legs) were limited to the fastest 4 girls on each team and she posted the 15th best classic leg out of the 32
