Memorial Mass followed by Potluck & Dedication of Parish Hall as the “Sister Marie Brent Parish Hall”
Sister Marie Ann Brent passed away November 22. Brent was born in 1934 in California. After becoming a nun and serving in Oakland, Brent travelled to Alaska and worked in the church as well as volunteered as an EMT in Dillingham and the Aleutian Islands. Brent came to Valdez in 1993 and spent 21 years at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, most of the time serving as church administrator. Brent moved back to California in 2014. The
