Lady Bucs Take 4th at State
Last weekend the VHS volleyball team concluded their season at the three day 3A state tournament in Anchorage. Valdez qualified for the tournament by winning 1st place in the Aurora Conference Tournament. On the first day of competition the Lady Bucs had a strong start beating the number two seed Kotzebue Huskies. Later in the day, Valdez had their second match of the day against the Mt. Edgecumbe Lady Braves. Unfortunately, the Lady Bucs weren’t able to claim a victory and lost. On Friday morning Valdez defeated the Monroe Catholic Rams to advance to the next round of the
