Huskies Narrowly Defeat Boys Team
(1-18-16) – The boys varsity team beat Hutchison in their last set of games but lost to Delta both nights this past weekend by narrow margins. On Friday, the Buccaneers and Huskies played fairly even through the first two quarters with the Huskies on top 29-25 at halftime. In the 3rd quarter the teams were again in another stalemate. In the 4th quarter, the Huskies forced the Buccaneers to make costly turnovers and outscored the Bucs 24-16. The final score was 65-54 with Delta the victor. On Saturday, Valdez jumped out early outscoring Delta 21-8 in the first quarter.
