Greene, Woodgate and Perez Qualify for State
(12-14-15) – This past weekend the Valdez was host of the 2015 Denali Conference Wrestling Tournament. Eight wrestling teams from around the state of Alaska joined Valdez in this two day tournament. At the conclusion of the tournament Valdez had three wrestlers who placed in their respected weight classes and qualified for the state tournament this week in Bartlett. In the 98 pound weight division, junior Salix Woodgate placed 1st with a pin over Robert Fairweather of Hutchison High School.
