Final 2016 COV Municipal Election Results
Absentee and questioned ballots were counted by the Valdez Elections Canvas Board on the morning of May 4th. The Elections Canvas Board also met to confirm by hand count votes for Darren Reese, Christopher Moulton, and Proposition Three.
Following the Elections Canvas Board hand count, City Council candidates Darren Reese and Christopher Moulton tied for the third City Council seat with 280 votes each. The Elections Canvas Board hand count results for Proposition Three confirmed the “No” advisory vote (No: 346; Yes: 342).
