E-Sports is coming to Valdez

Principal Woody Woodgate outlined plans for a e-Sports at Valdez High School in his report to school board for Monday night. eSports is a form of competition using video games. According to Woodgate’s report students brought forth 15 signatures of boys and girls at VHS interested in eSports. ASAA is considering making eSports a sanctioned activity in the Spring. The Mat-Su school district has added e-Sports to their list of sports and there are currently over 30 teams in Alaska.
