Cordova Residents Line Up to Move Library One Book at a Time

KTUU- More than 100 Cordova residents lined up Wednesday to form a book brigade across Main Street, moving the entire community library collection one volume at a time.  “They had traffic stopped for quite a few hours,” said Cathy Long, spokeswoman for the Cordova Telephone Cooperative, which sponsored the effort. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., volunteers handed books to one another from the old public library on Main Street/1st Street to the newly opened Cordova Center.
