Boys Finish 2nd at Elks
(2-15-16) – Last weekend the VHS boys varsity team competed in the 39th annual Elks Basketball Tournament. The boys first game was against the Seward Seahawks. Valdez did not allow Seward to score more than nine points in each of the first three quarters. In the 4th quarter the Valdez boys scored 19 points and cruised to a 56-33 victory. Their next game would was against an old rival, the Cordova Wolverines. After three quarter of competitive play, Valdez went into the 4th quarter with a 10 point lead over the Wolverines.
