Kim Keller – This past weekend, GMS Lady Huskies hosted their first home volleyball games against the Cordova Wolverines. With a Valdez team of 40 girls, the gym was full of enthusiasm.
For the first time in the history of Valdez middle school sports, 6th graders have a team. They matched up with the Wolverines, best of 3, coming away with some wins!
B1 and B2 Teams also played best of 3, dropping to the Wolverines both days. Coach Meagan Craig said, “My team is learning the rotation, which I just introduced last week. There were some great volleys and the
