Fishing Steady as Chiting Dipnet Fishery Opens

Newsminer- Some dipnetters have already filled their freezers with Copper River red salmon this year.  The first fishermen got dropped off along the river Monday night to start dipping when the personal use fishery opened at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. By 6:30 a.m., most had reached their individual limit of 25 reds and one king salmon, said charter boat business owner Mark Hem.
