New Record Set in the GMS Toothpick Tower Competition

Every year, Gilson Middle School has a toothpick tower competition to simulate what steel brought to the Industrial Revolution.

Grace Keller’s tower held a whopping 1,250.75 lbs. and did not break, setting a new record.

Overall, this was the best year they’ve had, with two other towers holding over 600 lbs. Ashlee Schaeffer and Elayzia Nicolette had a tower that held 664.5 lbs. followed by Sophia Palomar and Jackie Stewart whose tower held 629 lbs.
