VHS Cheerleaders Take 1st in Competition
(2-15-16) – This past weekend the VHS cheerleaders had their first cheer competition of the year during the Elks Basketball Tournament. The Valdez cheerleading team, as well as the cheerleading teams from Cordova and Seward, participated in a competition where the teams were judged throughout the weekend on the sideline performance cheers and their half time dance routine. On Saturday during the awards ceremony the VHS cheerleaders were announced the 1st place winners.
