Lady Bucs Split Against the Hawks

(2-1-16) – The VHS girls varsity basketball team had some close games this past weekend against the Galena Hawks. On Friday, Valdez had some difficulty scoring against the Hawks defense. The Lady Bucs weren’t able to get out of their shooting slump and dropped the 1st game against Galena. On Saturday, the girls had another close game. In the 4th quarter the Lady Bucs were able to play some lock down defense and expanded their lead to seal a victory. The girls travel to Seward this weekend for the Seahawk Classic Basketball Tournament.
