Earthquake Remembrance – March 27th 1964 Earthquake

Dorothy Moore, a former Valdez School teacher and resident of Valdez, reads the list of names of those who lost their lives during the 1964 earthquake. Moore also shares a few stories. This year’s Remembrance ceremony was cancelled due to concerns surrounding the Coronavirus, so this year the list of names is being read on KVAK instead of at the Valdez Dock. The list of names will also be published in KVAK’s e-mail newspaper.
