This weekend the Varsity Bucs had their first weekend of Aurora Conference games as the Galena Hawks came to Valdez.
Friday and Saturday night the Bucs really took care of business, focused and firing on all cylinders.

Running their signature half-court press defense, Valdez jumped out to an insurmountable lead both nights and essentially coasted to a victory to end the weekend 2-0.
Saturday night especially, the Bucs did a tremendous job moving and sharing the ball generating great looks at the basket in a nearly 60 point victory.

Friday night’s scoring was pretty evenly distributed amongst the players lead by Tino Tucker’s 16.
Saturday the scoring leaders were Jarrett Gage with 15, Tucker with 21 and Levi Wade with 11.
The Bucs currently have an 11-2 record and their next games are on the road against another conference rival, the Eielson Ravens.
