This sign was posted in a secured area for passengers to see as they got off a flight and entered the Valdez Airport terminal. A gate agent at Ravn Alaska said they did not post the sign and were unaware of a mandate requiring a 14-day quarantine. The gate agent said on Saturday that the sign had been up a few days and she believed a City employee posted it. The sign has a City of Valdez logo and references Public Health Mandate #1. A quick review of the City’s archive of COVID mandates shows Public Health Mandate #1 was rescinded April 29, 2021.
