The clouds broke and the sun began drying up the course just as our day of racing was about to get underway in beautiful Kincaid Park, Anchorage.

The Buccaneer football team hosted the Student Wrestling Development Program from Fairbanks this weekend in gridiron action. 

The Lady Bucs traveled to Delta this weekend for Aurora Conference action against the Delta Huskies.

This past weekend the Valdez Buccaneers traveled north to face off against the Delta Huskies.  

On Friday, VHS swimmers went only as far as North Pole to compete in the one day meet.

The Bucs’ cross-country team journeyed back to Palmer for the biggest race of the season with almost 40 teams and over 1,000 runners spread across 6 races.

The VHS swimmers traveled back up to Fairbanks this weekend to swim in the Lathrop Invite for their homecoming meet.

This weekend was the annual Valdez Invite. The girls started off the day playing North Pole and winning 1-0.

Valdez High School and the Gilson Middle School opened their doors to host a total of 18 volleyball teams (including the Lady Buccaneers) for the annual Valdez Invite Volleyball Tournament.

The Bucs cross-country team enjoyed a bouncy school bus ride to Colony High School in Palmer.

The VHS swimmers traveled to Fairbanks this weekend to swim in the West Valley Invite for the first meet of the season.

This past weekend the Buccaneer football team traveled to Seward with 13 players to take on the defending state champs.

The 2025 volleyball season has begun with the Lady Bucs competing at the Vegas Classic in the hot state of Nevada.

And we are off to the races!! The Valdez High School Cross-Country Team made their first trip to North Pole to face off against Region 6 schools at Chena River Park.

The Bucs had an exciting weekend in Fairbanks at the Region VI Track and Field Championships. The boys’ team took first place for the 5th year in a row.

The Bucs enjoyed a beautiful sunny weekend competing at the Region Preview meet in Fairbanks at West Valley High School.

The Bucs sailed into Palmer this weekend ready to make some waves at the Colony Invite! It was an exciting two days with many of our athletes placing high and getting some new personal records.

Twenty-two VHS musicians traveled to the ASAA State Solo and Ensemble Festival on May 9th and 10th at the UAA Fine Arts Building.

The VHS Music Department held their Spring Concert on Tuesday: A Showcase of Solos and Ensembles.

This past weekend, all of our theatre students’ hard work paid off. After an extremely stressful tech week, we put on the most successful series of performances I’ve ever had the pleasure of directing.

This past weekend was a big one for the Bucs as we hosted Glennallen and Gilson Middle School at our track.

The Buccaneer track team was fortunate to travel to the valley and spend two terrific nights at Wasilla High School Inn and Suites this past weekend while competing at the Wasilla invite.

This year’s Spring Alaska Association of Student Government (AASG) Conference was held in Sitka from April 24-26.

Apples Volleyball team brought the trophy back home against the Donuts this past weekend.
