The Lady Bucs ventured out to Galena for our regional tournament last week. After a long drive and early morning flight the Bucs hit the floor to face the Hutchison Hawks in the 1st round of regional play.

This past weekend the Bucs traveled to Galena to compete in the Aurora Conference Tournament.

This past week, the VHS Academic Decathlon Buccaneers traveled to State and competed against schools from around the state in 10 individual competitive areas, culminating in a live Super Quiz event where they squared up against other teams on stage in front of an audience.

Our JV boys wrapped up their final games of the season and played their first home games of the year this weekend.

This weekend we hosted the final set of games for the season against Delta. We honored our Seniors on Saturday night.

The Lady Bucs hosted the Delta Huskies this weekend in our last home games of the season.

This past weekend we traveled up to Fairbanks to play the Monroe Rams.  After finishing up the Elks tournament with a game vs Monroe we knew we were in for a couple of good games.

The Lady Bucs ventured north this weekend for a couple of conference games with the Monroe Catholic Rams. 

The Buccaneers traveled to Fairbanks to take on the Monroe Catholic Rams this weekend, dropping both contests by double digits.

The Lady Bucs kicked off the Elks Tournament Thursdays with a game against their cross the sound rivals, the Cordova Wolverines. 

Final Brackets, Stat Awards, All-Tournament Team

The JV Buccaneers traveled to the Reddington JV Tournament this weekend and competed in three hard-fought games.

This weekend the Lady Bucs took to the court against the Galena Hawks feeling energized and probably the most ready to play that we have been all season. 

This past weekend the Bucs played their second set of conference games hosting the Galena Hawks. Both nights saw similar outcomes with single digit wins for the Bucs.

The VHS Buccaneer Nordic Ski Team wrapped up last weekend at Regionals with a demanding and rewarding two-day competition that showcased just how much this group has grown over the course of the season.

Valdez High School will be hosting student athletes this weekend, February 12-14th

The Lady Bucs left early Wednesday and headed to Fairbanks to participate in the West Valley Ice Jam Tournament.

The Valdez Nordic Ski Team enjoyed a short trip to Glennallen for a great 5K skate race.

After months of dryland training, the Bucs were eager to hit the snow and welcome 10 schools from around the state.

This weekend, our Varsity Boys traveled to Anchorage to compete in the South High School Wolverine Classic, another valuable opportunity to test ourselves against strong 4A programs and familiar 3A competition.

The Lady Bucs ventured off to Kodiak to participate in the 57th Annual Joe Floyd Tournament in their first weekend of play this season. 

Buccaneer wrestling is officially finished for the 2025 season! This past weekend nine Buccaneer wrestlers toed the line to compete at ASAA State Championships.
