CVEA & Alyeska Pipeline to Exchange Energy

KVAK’s Laurie Prax talked with Travis Million, CEO of Copper Valley Electric Association (CVEA), about the agreement recently signed by CVEA and Alyeska Pipeline Service Company (APSC) that allows for the exchange of energy. On May 17th, CVEA and APSC finalized an agreement to begin construction of an electrical interconnection between CVEA grid and the Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT), allowing them to exchange energy.
