Submitted by VHS Varsity Volleyball Coach – The Lady Bucs traveled to Delta this weekend for Aurora Conference action against the Delta Huskies. The Bucs came out ready to play on Friday with a strong focus on established team goals. All players received some time on the court to fine tune the skills they practiced throughout the week. Strong improvement in serving and ball control enabled the Lady Bucs to take the win in 3 sets, 25-16, 25-9, 25-15.
Saturday morning the Buccaneers were fired up and ready to play once again. They continued to focus on their team goals and improved significantly on passing, easily taking the first two sets 25-9, 25-10. Receiving errors early in set three got the Lady Bucs off to a slow start trailing the
Huskies by seven points. The girls regained focus, started hitting smart shots, and even threw in a series of fantastic blocks at the net to rally back and take the final set 25-23.
Great job Lady Bucs! The team will be back in the gym this week preparing for our final home matches of the season on Friday and Saturday. Come celebrate our graduating seniors on Friday night!
