Valdez Fly-In 2026 brings pilots from across Alaska and the Lower 48

Pilots from across Alaska and the Lower 48 touched down in Valdez Saturday for the annual STOL Competition at Pioneer Field, drawing many local spectators to watch competitors battle for the shortest takeoff and landing distances.

The two-day event also featured aerobatic performances, vendor booths, flight demonstrations, flour bombing, and more.
