The City of Valdez recently released Valdez by the Numbers for the year 2025. NorthWave Communications will be sharing some of the information over the coming weeks.
Valdez is becoming an older community. From 2012 to 2024, the number of residents in their prime working years (ages 19–59) fell by 500 people. During the same period, the 60-plus population increased by 262 residents, growing from 12% to 20% of the total population.
