In 2024, there were 5,525 Alaska resident deaths (95% of which occurred in Alaska), down from 5,544 deaths in 2023. Men made up 58% of deaths while women made up 42%, continuing a 5+ year trend of 57-59% of all deaths in Alaska being male.
