Submitted by VHS Volleyball Coach – This weekend the Lady Buccaneers played in their last regular season conference games against the Monroe Catholic Rams. The girls got to play at UAF’s Patty Center which was a fun experience for them to play on a college floor outside of the State Tournament. Friday’s match was a great game despite just having got off the bus. They won 3-0 with the finishing scores for each set being 25-20, 26-24, and 25-22.
Friday we struggled with serve receive and keeping our unforced errors to a minimum. The girls were able to fight back and despite struggling throughout the match. The match ended 4-1 with the following scores being: 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, and 27-25. The girls will go into Regionals ranked 1st this year as they went 6-0 in conference matches. This next weekend we travel to Grace Christian for their annual tournament where we will be playing the rest of the top 3A teams in the state.
