Buccaneer wrestling continued this past weekend at the annual Lancer Smith Invitational. Leading the way for the Bucs was Junior Dalen Beck placing 5th in the 160lb weight division. Dalen started the tournament in dominant fashion with with two first period pins before dropping a close quarterfinal bout with Palmer’s Ezra Ginn in the final 15 seconds of the match. Dalen then battled back through the backside of the bracket to claim 5th. Also placing was Sophomore DJ Baron, placing 1st in the Junior Varsity 285 pound weight class. DJ pinned all of his opponents except for Service High School’s Brody Killian where he won a 5-0 decision.
Next week the Bucs will have the weekend off for the Thanksgiving holiday. See below
