OPENS MARCH 29, 2022 AT THE VALDEZ MUSEUM
Over 20 years ago the World Extreme Skiing Championships (WESC), built solely on guts and
vision, carved a path through the world of winter athletics, changing the face of skiing forever!
Through its incredible 10-year run, WESC helped to popularize extreme sports and raised the
potential for growth in the winter economy of Valdez. While the last WESC exhibit displayed in
2008, this White Gold features new artifacts, insights, personal memories and highlights from
the Museum’s WESC collection of memorabilia such as skis, scrap books, winner’s cups and
photo albums.
