The application period for Alaska’s 2022-2023 big game drawing hunts ends Dec. 15, at 5 p.m., Alaska time. Don’t let your opportunity to apply for these hunts get lost in the holiday season shuffle.
Applying is easy. Check out the drawing hunt options featured in the 2022-2023 Alaska Drawing Permit Hunt Supplement. Or, if you prefer, supplement hard copies are available at Alaska Department of Fish and Game offices and most hunting and fishing license vendors.
Remember, applications must be submitted online only. Once you’ve reviewed the drawing permit hunt supplement and selected the hunts that interest you, have your credit card handy and apply online. Purchase your 2022 Alaska hunting license at the same time, if you wish, along with sport fishing and trapping licenses, too.
Avoid waiting any longer to apply for your hunts! Those who put it off until the last few days may encounter delays due to high website traffic. Drawing results will be posted on the department website on Friday, Feb. 18, 2022. Individual results will also be emailed directly to all applicants.
For more information about this year’s drawing hunts and application process, visit the Drawing Hunt Permits Information page. We wish you the best of luck in the draw and in all of your future hunting adventures.
