On Monday, December 17, the City of Valdez IT Department attempted to implement a new Valdez Container Terminal Security Gate system.

Due to unforeseen technical challenges, the conversion was unsuccessful. If you are a TWIC holder with an active VCT Gate PIN:

• Please continue to use the PIN originally assigned to you for entry into the VCT.
• Any PIN issued in office or telephonically on Monday, December 17 will not be valid
  

  until a date in the future, TBD.

If you are a TWIC holder previously unable to register your card due to system outage:

• Any PIN issued in office on Monday, December 17 will not be valid until a date in the
  

  future, TBD.

Unfortunately, we do not have enough information to provide an estimated conversion date at

this time. Updated information will be made available as soon as possible.
