The Valdez City School Board will approve rehiring of Tenured Teachers this Monday night. A teacher is considered tenured after three years of service. This list does not include non-tenured teachers, classified staff or teachers taking advantage of the Teachers Retirement Incentive offered by the School Board. According the Superintendent Nygaard, there are several teachers taking advantage of the Teachers Retirement Incentive offered by the School Board and the district is already actively looking to hire new teachers for next year.
