QUESTION OF THE WEEK RESULTS: What do you think Valdezians have to be thankful for?

Wendy Goldstein:
Valdezians have a lot to be thankful for: the gorgeous place we live in, the wonderful neighbors we have, the delicious seafood and drinking water we enjoy, the great access we have to health care, social services, and so much more! Not to mention the college and museums we have
Kahlid Smith:
That Valdez is not a city that taxes people out of existence like that of large cities across America
Anonymous:
Valdezians should be thankful someone invented the snow shovel
So many volunteers who are willing to help in our schools, at public events, and for charity.
School lunch! It costs a lot for the schools to provide and they do such a great job for our kids.
A well funded community. I feel like a lot of Valdezians don’t even realize they should be grateful for all the free and low-cost events, classes, etc. in Valdez. Most places I’ve lived it has cost WAY more to participate in things.
SNOW!!! Where else can you step out of your house into a prime snow playland?
Amazing beauty that others travel from all around the world to see.
We should be grateful for all there is to do in Valdez. For anyone who loves the outdoors, it’s a perfect place to be.
