Valdez City Council will consider recommendations from the Ports & Harbor Commission. Following is a recap of the Ports & Harbor Commission’s recommendations for harbor rates (from the City Council packet)

•  Installation of a 7.5% annual increase for reserved moorage and transient annual moorage on A-K Docks for the next 3 years (2018-2020). Estimated increase in revenue is $91,000.
• Annual moorage payment options (annual, semi-annual, and monthly).
• Moorage fees for human powered vessels (i.e. kayaks) $0.25/per sq. ft./per day or $2.00/per

  sq. ft./per month. Estimated increase in revenue is $600.

• Passenger fee for charter or tour vessels utilizing the Harbor for less than 3 hours of $1.00 per

  passenger/per boat trip. Estimated increase in revenue is $4,030.

• Upland storage in truck/trailer parking area will increase from $6.25/day to $12.50/day during

  peak season May 15 – September 15. Estimated increase in revenue is $2,000.

• Upland storage of vessels staying past the 9 allotted months, will double in fees each

  additional 9 months. Estimated increase in revenue is $2,500.

• Upland storage of vehicles hooked to trailers in excess of 7 days will be charged the same

  applicable winter or summer storage rates. Estimated increase in revenue is $500.

• Boat lift fee from $180 to $220 per hour. Overtime boat lift fee from $360 to $440. Boat lift fees in winter will be $220 per hour plus $60 per hour for labor. Estimated increase in revenue

  is $14,000.

• Crane fees from $40 to $80 per hour, billable in 15 minute increments. Estimated increase in

  revenue is $11,000.

• Electrical daily power on water $10/day for 30amp, $15/day for 50amp and $25/day for

  100amp. Estimated increase in revenue is $10,000.

• Launch ramp fees for human powered vessels are $5/day or $37.50/season. Estimated
