(03-07-16) – The Buccaneer basketball season is coming to a close. This week the varsity basketball teams will be traveling up to Fairbanks for the Aurora Conference Regional basketball tournament hosted by Hutchison High School. The Bucs will travel up this Wednesday and compete Thursday through Saturday for a chance to go to the state tournament in Anchorage. The tournament is set as a double elimination where the 1st and 2nd place winners of each bracket will be invited to play in the 3A state tournament. This year the Lady Bucs will be going into the tournament as the number one seed overall and the boys team will be fourth seed overall. In addition, the VHS Pep Band with director Ann Norris will be traveling up to Fairbanks with the basketball teams to attend and perform during their games.
