The Valdez Nordic Ski team took a quick trip to race with the Glenallen ski team on Saturday.
The race was held in Gakona on a picturesque trail through a frozen forest with views of the
Wrangell Mountians.
Skiers were challenged with cold temperatures demanding mentally and physically tough racing.
The Bucs took it on with their trademark ice cold mentality. 8 skiers made the trip and skied in
10k and 5k races. This was the bucs longest and hopefully coldest race of the year. Providing
great opportunity toward improving their racing endurance.
