Husky Wrestlers Compete at Glennallen Middle School Scramble

This past weekend Husky wrestling didn’t have to travel far for competition as the season continued at the Glennallen Middle School Scramble. Leading the way for the Huskies were: Levi Wade (1st, 114lbs), Logan Beck (1st, 126lbs), Bentlee Gilfillan (1st, 98lbs), Heidi Francis (1st, 113lbs), Lily Groundwater (2nd, 113lbs), Jewely Weber (2nd, 136lbs), Kaden Vanbuskirk (2nd, 118lbs), Spencer Disney (3rd, 122lbs), Dylan Passage (2nd, 132lbs), Isaac Disney (3rd, 140lbs), Jackson Peltier (3rd, 174lbs). Attending the tournament were 8 total teams and for the first time this season the Huskies found themselves leading the tournament in team points, scoring 151.5 points. Next weeknd the Huskies will travel up to Fairbanks to participate at the annual Tanana Middle School Invitational which is considered the unofficial state tournament for the middle school season.
