JOHN FANNIN RETIRING FROM ALYESKA PIPELINE SERVICE COMPANY

After 26 years with Alyeska Pipeline Service Company John D. Fannin is retiring. He will step off terminal this Thursday. Fannin began his career with Alyeska in May of 1994. He was hired and moved from Fairbanks as an Environmental Specialist. John retires as the Operations Manager for the Valdez Marine Terminal and has held numerous position over the past 26 years. John and Anita were fortunate to have raised their boys, Zebadiah and Isaac, in Valdez and as a family have participated in all Valdez has to offer sitting on numerous volunteer boards from coaching little league to leading planning and Zoning, United Way to VTSC, all while working for “Uncle AL” and providing for his family. John’s wife Anita said that Valdez and Alyeska have been a great fit for their family. “We are not leaving Valdez and, due to COVID, no large gatherings will be will be held to recognize and thank John,” said Anita.  She said she would like to ask the Valdez Community to take time to acknowledge John and all he has offered to his workplace and Valdez.

“No we are not leaving Valdez and due to COVID no large gatherings will be happening to recognize and thank John,” said Anita. “But from the bottom of our hearts, our family truly wants to thank you for persevering and providing for us over the past 26 years. What you have accomplished is amazing and truly appreciated!”. Here’s to the next chapter John Fannin.
