Alaska minimum wage to increase to $10.10 in January 2020

Alaska’s Department of Labor and Workforce Development announced a three percent increase in the minimum wage from $9.89 to $10.19 beginning January 1st. The announcement states the Anchorage consumer price index rose by three percent in 2018 which prompted the increase due to a ballot measure passed in 2014 which requires the state minimum wage to stay in line with inflation.
