Valdez Torpedoes Swim Club Job Openings

If you love swimming and want to be involved in your community and state’s swim culture, then here is an amazing opportunity for you. 

The Valdez Torpedoes Swim Club is looking to hire Assistant Coaches and Swim Lesson Instructors for the 2019-2020 swim season. The Season will run September 9th, 2019 – April 9th, 2020.

Assistant Coaches & Swim Instructors will have an 8-10 hour work week with opportunities for increasing hours, and Rate of Pay will be determined upon hiring.

VTSC Staff must 16 years of age and older. They will also be expected to teach swimmers of all ages sound fundamental skills within an appropriate framework for physical and mental conditioning, allowing each swimmer to steadily improve their level of swimming proficiency and knowledge.

Any experience in the aquatic industry such as Lifeguarding or a background in swimming is appreciated but not mandatory. All VTSC staff will have proper training and other opportunities to improve their skills and knowledge. Other expectations are lined out in the Alaska Swimming and VTSC mission statement below:
