VHS Music to Perform at Pearl Harbor

This weekend 28 VHS band and choir members will be traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii to participate in the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor concert. The students will leave Sunday for six days and will join 1,200 band and 300 choir members from across the nation. They will be performing at the Pearl Harbor Memorial sight in front of the USS Missouri on Pearl Harbor Day, Wednesday December 7th. In addition, VHS band members Devon Price and Trevor Hawkins have been chosen for a select honor band that will perform at a banquet to honor the Pearl Harbor survivors. Tomorrow night (Tuesday, November 29th) at 7pm in the Valdez high school the band and choir will present “Remembrance of Music,” a showcase of music that they will perform at Pearl Harbor with a mixture of Christmas songs.
