01/30
 
Theft of Property: The caretaker of a residence reported the theft of over 200 gallons of fuel from the fuel tank. Officers are investigating.
 
Fraud: A currently occupied home was falsely advertised as being for rent on Craigslist. The owners of the home have no intention of moving or leasing their house.
 
Animal at Large: A verbal warning was issued to the owner of 2 dogs who reportedly damaged a garage while at large.
 
01/31
 
Arrested: Simone Carol Ann Liljedahl-Pecora, DOB 08/05/1991, of Valdez, was arrested for Violating Conditions of Release.
 
Summonsed: Nathan Shawn Sencibaugh, DOB 03/16/1972, of Valdez, was summonsed for Violation of Custodial Duties.
 
Motor Vehicle Accident – with Damage: A two vehicle motor vehicle accident was reported.

Animal Surrender: A Husky dog was surrendered to the Animal Shelter. Anyone interested in adopting please contact the shelter.
 
Agency Assistance: VPD Officers provided assistance with an MVA that occurred on Thompson Pass.
Arrested: Jennifer Gail Werder, DOB 10/22/1970, of Valdez, was arrested for DUI, Leaving the Scene of an MVA and Reckless Driving.

Animal Surrender: A cat was surrendered to the Animal Shelter.  Anyone interested in adopting please contact the shelter.
 
Drugs: A complainant reported possibly being poisoned and feeling ‘weird.’ Further investigation revealed that the complainant had voluntarily smoked marijuana and no foul play was involved.
 
Arrested: Kenneth Paul Fulcher, DOB 08/28/1949, of Valdez, was arrested for Driving with License Revoked.

Animal Cruelty: A caller reported that someone stabbed their dog and the dog is now at the veterinarians’.
 
Arrested: Maurice Dale Burnette, DOB 02/08/1951, of Valdez, was arrested Violating Conditions of Release.

Criminal Mischief: A window was broken at a local bar by a disgruntled patron.
 
Suspicious Person: Bags of personal belongings were left at the ferry terminal after the owner was informed he could not store his luggage there.
 
Disturbance – Other: A complainant reported that they needed assistance with a family member who was intoxicated.
 
Arrested: Robert Thomas Stumpf, DOB 01/31/1985, of Valdez, was arrested for Assault 4th Degree – Domestic Assault and therefore was also Remanded for Probation Violation.

Welfare Check: A crisis line in Fairbanks requested the VPD conduct a welfare check on a person who may be inflicting wounds upon themselves.
 
Loitering: A local hotel requested Officer assistance for a person refusing to leave the premises. Officers provided transport to a different location.
 
Disturbance – Noise: Loud music and laughter was reported at a local residence. The music was turned down when Officers arrived on scene.
 
Disturbance – Other: A complainant reported that they needed assistance with a family member who may have overdosed.

On Jan 31 at 9:38 pm Fire personnel responded to alarm activation at the Senior Center Apt #2. Upon arrival crews found the system had been activated unintentionally. The system was reset and crews returned to quarters.
 
On Feb 1 at 10:45 am Fire personnel responded to a repost of a propane leak at the skid platform at the Alyeska Pipeline across from Petro Star. Crews were called by Alyeska Fire Brigade, Chief Beauvais stated they had secured the leak and would assist GCI in removing the snow from the leaky cylinder.
  
On Feb 1 at 11:44 pm EMS personnel assisted the police department checking on the condition of one of the inmates. The patient was checked and returned to the custody of the jailer.
 
On Feb 2 at 2:41 pm Fire personnel assisted a resident that had used an oil heater in his house and filled the basement with smoke. Crews assisted in removing the smoke and checking for gas.
 
On Feb 2 at 9:34 pm EMS personnel responded to a 41 year old female that had chest pain. The patient was treated on scene and transported to the Providence Valdez Medical Center for further treatments.
 
On Feb 2 at 12:40 am Fire personnel responded to 128 Valdez Mobile Home Park from a strong smell of fuel from a toyo stove. The crews cleared the vent stack and the stove was reset. No fumes were backing into the home.
 
On Feb 2 at 5:36 am Fire personnel responded to a female that had removed snow from her roof and was now trapped and could not get off her roof one the roof snow slid. Crews laddered the roof as escorted the lady down off her roof.
 
On Feb 4 at 6:25 am EMS personnel responded to Valdez Mobile Home Park for a female having seizures. The patient was treated on scene and transported to the Providence Valdez Medical Center for further treatments.
 
On Feb 4 at 8:44 am EMS personnel assisted a medevac team transport a patient from the Providence Valdez Medical Center to the airport for a flight to Anchorage for further treatment.
 
On Feb 5 at 12:29 am EMS personnel responded to a female that had wrist pain and had over dosed on medications. The patient was treated on scene and transported to the Providence Valdez Medical Center for further treatments.
 
On Feb 5 at 3:26 pm EMS personnel responded to a man that had a behavior problem. The patient was treated at the scene and released.
 
On Feb 6 at 12:48 am Fire personnel responded to 2001 Homestead for a smoke odor. Crews found a computer system was over heating and the system was turned off. Crews returned to quarters.
