ALASKA LAW REQUIRES that all children be immunized against polio, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, Hepatitis A & B, measles, rubella, and have two Varicella shots if the child has not had chicken pox. If the child has had chicken pox medical verification is required in order to attend Alaska Schools. Verification that a child is appropriately immunized must be medically certified and show the date of each dose of vaccine. Provisions are available for medical or religious exemptions.
